Fresh graduate CV for Saudi Arabia: projects, training and first applications

You do not need to invent a job history to write your first CV. Show what you studied, built, practised or contributed, then connect that evidence to one entry-level role. Here is a practical starting point for graduates applying in Saudi Arabia.

1. Choose one direction for this version

Pick a role family such as junior analyst, administrator, customer service or graduate developer. Read a real vacancy and note the responsibilities and skills you can demonstrate. Save a separate version for a different direction rather than opening with ‘seeking any opportunity’.

A useful profile names your qualification, target work and relevant evidence. For example: ‘Business administration graduate with experience coordinating a student event and maintaining project records; seeking an entry-level operations role.’ Replace every detail with your own.

2. Build the CV around evidence you already have

A simple order is contact details, targeted profile, education, relevant projects or training, skills and additional activities. Move a strong internship above projects when it is more relevant to the vacancy.

  • Education: qualification, institution and graduation date. Add relevant modules when they help explain your fit.
  • Projects: the problem, your individual contribution, tools used and a deliverable or result.
  • Training: actual dates, organisation, responsibilities and completed work. Label cooperative training or an internship accurately.
  • Skills: tools you have used and languages with realistic proficiency. Do not present attendance certificates as professional licences.

3. Make a project sound like work you can explain

Use an action, an object and an output: ‘Built an Excel tracker for a student event and used it to monitor supplier tasks.’ If it was a group project, distinguish what you personally did from the team’s result.

Prepare to explain the example in an interview. Remove unsupported numbers and avoid sharing confidential university, customer or employer records in a public portfolio.

4. Check official routes before applying

HRDF describes Jadarat as a platform for Saudi job seekers, and Tamheer as a graduate-development route with eligibility conditions. Use the official links below to check current requirements and opportunities; availability and acceptance are not guaranteed.

Applicants who are not eligible for these programmes can review employers’ own career pages and public vacancies that match their circumstances. A CV builder does not establish programme or work eligibility.

5. Give each application a next step

Save the vacancy link, employer, role, date applied and next action in a tracker. Use the same name and accurate dates across your CV and application profile. Before submitting, check the employer’s required attachments and preview the uploaded file.

Keep one interview example ready from a project, training placement or activity: what happened, what you did and what changed. Practise explaining it in your own words.

Common questions

What if I have no paid work experience?

Use relevant projects, cooperative training, volunteering or activities. Label them clearly and describe your own contribution without inventing employment.

Does this kit or CV builder register me for Tamheer?

No. Check requirements and apply through the official HRDF service. Jobs For Jam is an independent CV tool.

Can non-Saudi graduates use these CV examples?

Yes, the writing guidance is useful to applicants generally. Jadarat and Tamheer have their own eligibility rules; check the official provider rather than assuming eligibility.
